You've brought home a Cattuna kitten

Welcome to the Cattuna Cattery family! We are delighted that you have chosen one of our precious kittens and look forward to sharing this exciting journey with you.

You can follow your kitten's growth through the regular photos, videos and updates posted on our social media pages. We are always here to answer your questions and help you prepare for your kitten's arrival.

    SETTLING IN & CARE

    The first days, made simple

    01

Settling in — the first few days

We recommend settling your kitten into one small, quiet and secure room for the first few days, with familiar food, fresh water, a litter tray and a comfortable open bed within easy reach. Avoid enclosed hiding places or letting your kitten hide under furniture, as this can make settling in harder. Once your kitten is confidently eating, drinking, using the litter tray and interacting with the family, you can gradually introduce them to other areas of the home.

    02

    Feeding guide

To help prevent an upset stomach, please continue feeding the same foods recommended by Cattuna Cattery when your kitten first arrives. Each family receives our detailed Cattuna Cattery Kitten Feeding Information Guide.

    03

    Vet care

Every kitten goes home with a vet card and health record. Nataline is always happy to talk new owners through the first vet visit and vaccination schedule directly by phone.

    04

    Insurance

Your kitten comes with 6 months of pet cover with Knose Pet Insurance — 'pet care made easy' — so your new family member is protected from the very start.

    PAPERWORK & TRANSFER

    Microchip & registration transfer

We handle all the registration transfer paperwork for NSW families. For other states, the transfer may need to be completed online by the new owner, as the process differs outside NSW.

NSW families will also need to register their kitten with their local council — a simple but important step we recommend completing soon after your kitten arrives home.

    ONGOING SUPPORT

    We're here — always.

If your kitten shows any signs of an upset belly, stress or diarrhoea, please call as soon as possible — Nataline is available for phone support until 10pm to help kittens settle, eat and drink.

Our support doesn't end when your kitten goes home. Cattuna families are always welcome to reach out with questions or for guidance as their kitten grows — even after they reach one year of age and throughout their life.
